Topic: The law governing real property ownership varies widely from state to state.  This presentation will cover some of the issues that New York professionals should be aware of if their clients own real property in California or Florida.

Presenters:

Paul LaMartina - Paul M. LaMartina is an associate in Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell's Taxation, Trusts & Estates Department. Paul focuses his practice on estate planning as well as trust and estate administration and has a strong background working with nontraditional families and high net worth individuals. He regularly incorporates advanced estate planning techniques and vehicles which can both minimize taxes and help clients achieve their individual wealth transfer objectives, including grantor retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, charitable split interest trusts, dynasty trusts, and various legal entities.

 Paul is certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law.

 

Monique Lavender-Greenberg - Monique Lavender Greenberg is the founding attorney of Lavender Greenberg PLLC, a Florida law firm.  Monique advises families and individuals on the financial, legal and tax aspects of estate planning and administration.  Monique obtained a Masters of Laws in Estate Planning and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.

 Monique is the President of the Coral Gables South Dade Estate Planning Council, a Member of the Estate Planning Council of Miami and has been awarded the AEP® Designation from the National Association of Estate Planning Councils.
